An Esri Account gives you access to all participating sections of Esri web sites that require a login. Esri Account also gives you free, limited access to ArcGIS Online, if you do not have a subscription.
You will be asked to provide your first name, last name, and a valid e-mail address. You will need access to your email, as once you have confirmed your e-mail address, you’ll be asked to provide a username and password, and other contact information. Your account will be created immediately, giving you more time to access the information you need online.
Some participating applications need to know who you are before continuing to specific pages or sections.
Occasionally, the Esri Account makes changes to the fields required for account holders. When this happens, we request you to update your account to include the additional information. Once your account is updated, you will be able to sign in directly.
If you forget your password, click the ‘Forgot password' link, enter the username, answer the security question and provide a new password for the account.
If you forget your username, click the ‘Forgot username’ link, enter your e-mail address and we will e-mail you the username associated with this e-mail address.
Usernames must be unique. They can be 6-24 characters long. They can include letters, numbers, and some special characters: period (.), ampersat (@), and underscore(_). They are not case sensitive.

If your e-mail address has changed since you created your Esri Account, sign in to My Esri (my.esri.com), click on the My Profile tab, and the click on Update Contact Information. You will be able to update your e-mail address on that page.
